India

Sri Lanka

India described in one word? “Intense”. No matter how many countries you have visited before nothing will prepare you for this place! It’s set to become the most populous country in the world by 2026, the country is one of the richest in the world for culture, but with some of the poorest people. The country is of course incredibly diverse, and the photos soon here are from the “central belt” of the country from Jaisalmer to Calcutta with many place in between. You can’t visit India without going to see the Taj Mahal of course, but I think there are other places not to be missed as well such as Varanasi or Pushkar during the camel fair. Then of course India has some amazing food, the many different types of curry are just a delight.

Highlights

Varanasi - “is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend” (Mark Twain)

Sunderban - You might not see tigers here, but the rural life is amazing to see.

Pushkar camel fair - Never will you see so many camels.

The Taj Mahal - One of the most iconic buildings in the world, how could this not be a highlight.
